My Christmas Story

My wife's aunt got the kids a gift card for Cinemark. Sons aged 12 and 6 were quite happy with this.

Son aged 2 examined the card, handed it to my wife, and said:

"I want cash."

Ah yes. It seems that materialism encroaches upon the spirit at increasingly earlier ages.

Or is it just a sign that gift cards suck and your child recognizes them as an inferior form of money?

Possibly, given that it was a group gift, though, and one that bound him to share it with his siblings, I have to wonder.
